About Us

Media is seen as one of the main avenues for people today to discuss and debate ideas, promote concepts and influence policy makers and the general public.

However, there is a dearth of alternative media, especially Muslim media in the world today. Despite the success of mainstream media outlets such as Al-Jazeera and others, there is still need to fill the need for a truly independant media outlet.

High-quality, scholarly and intelligent works are severely lacking in the Third World today. In addition, the Muslim world also suffers from a deficient-promotion of Islamic culture such as compassion and tolerance. Thus, there is great need for high-quality reading, audio and visual materials for the public.

Fajr Symphony aims to promote, network and help develop high-quality material for the public which promotes universal values regardless of race, colour or creed. We hope this will help create a better world for our future generations - who would live a dignified life, unlike the picture above of Palestinian children having to play in open gutters (Picture by Shafiq Morton from "Surfing Behing the Wall" book).
